Ecoli 0157 Outbreak

Ecoli 0157 has now affected 151 people and resulted in 2 deaths. 144 are in England, 6 in Wales and 1 in Scotland. As yet the source is unknown but there has been a restriction on a few wholesalers adding rocket leaves to their mixed salad. This, however, has not ruled out other sources or products. The Public Health and Food Standards Agency are working together to identify the source.

Symptoms include severe bloody diarrhoea and in extreme cases kidney failure.
